Tin Vase

The reflective gleam of this artesian tin vase results from a juxtaposition of colours, shadows, and highlights. The tin vase (from the artist’s personal collection) reflects the colour and form of the ruby red pomegranates scattered at the base of the vase. The artist has used a soft metallic gold pastel pigment to interpret the timber surface and to compliment the intense, rich colour of the pomegranates. Glow and depth are attained through detailed layering techniques.
